Yet another historical ruleset is almost upon us (late summer I hear), I was a little curious to see if anyone here was looking into it? I dont know much about it aside that the author is Rob Broom who was the Warhammer Historical Manager at Games Workshop from 2002 through to 2009. Its going to be distributed by Scarab Miniatures. Scalewise they say its for 28mm but can be adapted to others

I think W&C was going to be what WAB2 should have/could have/might have been. There are play test battle reports on the Scarab forums - might get some idea of the game there. http://scarabminiatures.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=41&sid=bcb6c78353c36eded50fde1522698752

I thought that Clash of Empires was going to be what WAB2 should have been. Sigh. I'll stick with WAB2 and the occasional Hail Caesar for something different.

Hmm yes other people called CoE WAB2.0, interesting to see another game system being called that. Guess I'll have to wait till the full release to see what all the fuss is about

Somewhere in south-central England.

WAB was fairly popular so if support was dropped by GW/Historical I can see a gap in the market for rival systems to exploit.

I was going to say it explains the release of Hail Caesar, but apparently that is based on Warmaster Historical.

The loss of lots of well-known GW designers in recent years must have something to do with things, too.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
