Does it play like Empire: Total War? I really have no idea.

It's kind of like the total war series but with less emphasis on war.

If you're going to get a civilization game...get 4 it's SO much better, I've played 3,4, and 5 4 is the best by far, 5 is SO slow to get started it's not even funny.

I heard 5 was an abysmal attempt at a Civ game. I'll probably wait till its really cheap.
Unlike Bombboy, I didn't really like 4, and think 3 is the best at the moment.

Ironic, because what shifted me to get my new PC at the time was Civ 5, then I never bought it...

I preferred 4, as that's what got me into Civ.

That and the fact that I can mod in hundred of nukes.
