Hey everyone.

It's kind of odd being this close to a major metro city and having a hard time finding somewhere to play. I've recently gotten back into playing tabletop games. In my younger days I played a bit of rogue trader, necromunda, some blood bowl, and 40k 2nd ed just upto just before 4th edition. I've got a pretty decent sized Retribution army for Warmachine but to be completely honest I haven't been able to play a single game yet. So I'm really interested in playing almost anything tabletop if there's a good group around here. (Not a big fan of FoW.. I've found a few groups of that in my area. Nothing against you guys! I'm just not into the historical stuff.)

So something like:
40k , Warmahordes, Infinity, Necromunda, Mordheim all interest me. I've heard Malifaux is pretty fun but I know nothing about it. I'm really open.

Thusfar I've only found one place really worth playing at which is Showcase comics down in Granite Run Mall, Only issue is it's about an hour and a half drive for me with traffic totaled in. So 3 hours round trip driving is hard for me to fit in to play as much as I'd like. With all of the allied hobbies that have gone under, Leaving me with the Games Workshop on Grant as my only option but I'd rather not get into why I don't go there anymore.

Thanks for reading.

Depending on where you are in the Philly suburbs, try Showcase Comics in Bryn Mawr. Every Saturday is Warhammer day, and a lot of good people play there, all ages too. The kids are pretty good, beat the older ones and adults from time to time!

Showcase Comics - Granite Run Mall, Media is by far the premiere gaming store in the entire Philly region. They have a huge gaming area with 20+ tables. They sell, play and do it all.

There's also a GW Hobby center on Cotman Ave., but it's tiny and not worth a damn IMO.

There's a bunch of other LGS's as well scattered through out the outskirts of the Philly area as well. Do a search here...

Cyborg One, Doylestown - 40k Weekends, but they're experimenting with Infinity, Malifaux, and Warmachine/Hordes. I'd really like to try and get a Flames of War group there.

Brave New Worlds, Willow Grove - big 40k/Fantasy selection.

7th Dimension Games, Jenkintown - Flames of War, Warmachine/Hordes, Spartan Games. A bit of 40k. but they really only just picked that up.

Na they are not really experimenting with new games there. I am close friends with the owner and I play 40k there all the time when im not playing at my house (I have a 4x8 and enough ebay terrain to populate 2 boards.)

I have not played at brave new worlds but its a place that I might try sometime.

They also play hero clicks on sundays at cyborg

We just moved the mall store. Here's a few pictures. Still a bit chaotic, but sorting it out.) Lots of games, figures, comics, and more coming in all the time to fill up the new store.
