Hello, I started playing 40k while home from college for the summer. I've been lucky enough to find a store with a great community and very consistent gaming. However, I'm worried that when I go back for the fall semester (currently in LA) I won't be able to find a place with such a great atmosphere for 40k in Tucson. Are there any Tucson natives on this forum who know a good spot to go and find a good game? Preferably near the university area.

Not a local, but when i travel out to that area, the only 40K scene i know of was Hats Games. There was another shop called Nemisis, but IIRC, it close down.

Hello, the Hats game's community has grown quite a bit over the last year. There are a few of us who frequent Dakka. (i actually am no longer living in t-town but a few of my 40k buddies are still actively playing a game or two ever weekend)

yeah i live like an hour out of tucson, hats games is the place to go in tucson for 40k, my work schedule is kinda rough im off wednesday thursday for now but that will change. i am always down for a game when im off i play guard, private message me to set up a game or anything

Seems to be a lot of tucson folks who carpool up to visit us at Empire Games in mesa, its about 1.5 hour drive up. I think they play at hats, but they come 2-3 times a month, about ten guys

Not sure about the drive to Mesa, I don't have a place to stay down there or if I'd even have time in my schedule for a recurring trip up there. Appreciate the info regardless.

Hat's is usually where I played, I move back in a month or so. There are a lot of other games that take up the tables so I would recommend watching the calender Hat posts. For August every Friday at 6pm there is a league so that's garaunteed gaming. Otherwise make friends and set times to go play I will hit you up again when I move there.
