One of my Friends decided on making an SS Panzer Company, and he was going to buy I think three or four boxes of the PSC Panzers and he decided that he really liked the G model and he asked if it would be ok if he could use that model instead of the H model. I was totally fine with it, but in the general FoW community, would everyone be cool with it?

The PSC box gives you parts to do models F1 to H so doing G's is not going to be a problem.

Alright cool thanks, I was just making sure if having a G in a LW setting would be all good in a casual game

Depends totally on who he is playing against, sadly. For me, as long as he isn't using the same exact model for 3 different versions of the PZIV on the table I don't care. It is clearly a PZIV, and the fiddly little detail differences on the later models are insignificant to me. Heck I wouldn't even mind if someone used PZIV As in LW. They still are easily identifiable as PZIVs...

Some folks, though, are *really* anal about these kinds of things, though and will know too many details about other players' lists and will say things like "Hey those are PZIV Gs. SS don't get Gs in this list they get Hs." Thankfully in my neck of the woods these folks are few and far between. I've not played in a BF tourney, but they might get picky in that setting as well, but for fun games it shouldn't matter a bit.

I often use what I have on the table top. Like our recent EW league where I used standard universal carriers for the scout carriers in my Divisional Cavalry force and I used marmon herrington armored cars in place of Morris CS9 armored cars. The Morris and Marmon have the same weapons so it wasn't a stretch and saved me some cash to flesh out my EW armoured regiment instead. I also my australian platoons for motor or rifle platoons whether I am using an Africa list or a european list. I don't have the time, cash or space to waste buying and building completely separate rifle companies just because they make different models for Africa and Europe.

Tell your friend to do what works for *him* since they are his models and his gaming hobby, etc.
