So, I am thinking of making a Panzergrenadier Company. Now, I have only watched the game be played a bit, but I was looking at some stuff and figured I would ask Dakka for some help.

Here is what I drew up based on my poor assumptions and worse grasp of the game:

HQ:
Company HQ
SMG Team
[75]

Combat Platoons:
PG Platoon
3x PG Squads
[275]

PG Platoon
2x PG Squads
[200]

Heavy Platoon
2x MG Sections
[200]

Weapons Platoons:
Pioneer Platoon
2x Squads, Panzerfaust
[250]

Division Support:
Assault Gun Platoon
2x StuG IV
[190]

Panzer Platoon
3x Panthers
[560]

[1750]

So, feel free to tear it apart and if you would please include why and how with ideas and critiques.

Thanks!

I'm actually a little confused by how he's getting 275 points for a Panzergrenadier platoon. A full Panzergrenadier platoon in Fortress Europe is 205 points, and 180 in Earth & Steel.

Fortress Europe, pg25

Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Platoon.

This is a Mechanised Company. Sorry if I wasn't specific. Still new to this stuff.

That would explain it then! They are Grenadiers in Half-tracks.

Not sure that you will need to Panthers. They are High Point cost considering that what they can bring to the table can be brought by StuGs at almost half the price. Are you set on those?

The Armoured Cannon Platoon might not be such a bad choice, however you may want to consider adding some form of Artillery to your force.

Armoured Mortar Platoon is a good option or you can go with Divisional Support Artillery of some kind. There are several options.

Also, you might want to check your Armoured Pioneer Platoon again, I think you have the points for them incorrect. Though, I could be looking at the wrong entry/army listing.

Pioneers are right. F:E p29 - 2x Squads w/ Panzerfaust

You might be looking at the Infantry, not Mechanized.

That being said, I will drop the Panthers. They do eat up a ton of points, don't they?

Revised a bit, more well-rounded, I think?

With the StuG IVs, Anti-Tank section, and Panzerfaust teams Im not sure what you are getting out of the 250pts dumped into Pioneers.

Also, Air Support might make you cringe just a little if you are looking at facing anyone that has it. Other then that the core components looks very solid! GP Grenadiers are an interesting list!

Well, what exactly is the best German list to take with mechanized combined-arms in mind?
