So I am getting a bit excited about this game. The whole skirmish level as a big draw for me, especially since I am dropping GW like a hot potato.

I was wondering what the general feelings of this game is.

HOw well does it play?

Are the factions different enough to make a good game?

How does it compare to Malifaux? ( I have been playing a lot of this lately so it is my on good referance point)

I was also wondering about the factions. I play Neverborn, specifically Pandora, is there an equivalent to that style in the game?

Thats it for now. I am waiting for my rules to be delivered, but it is still a couple days away. Thank you for any help you will give.

I haven't played, but I did research on it when I was looking for a skirmish game to collect.

It's traditionally dice based, unlike Malifaux, but each guy has varying levels of rules detail.

It's based on an orders system, where each unit in your army adds an amount to your order pool, then you spend these orders to do stuff on the table. Some abilities will use up more than one order, others will permanently use up orders.

The story is actually somewhat interesting, you've got humans from Earth finding portals to hell, but then finding that Hell is largely unoccupied. So the nations of Earth start invading hell, killing what demons they find, then exploit Hell's resources for their nations back home.

Thanks for that. Got my book yesterday so I am going to spend some time reading, then decide on a faction. I will post my thoughts in a bit.

I'm kinda interested in the Saracens, the first ones who ventured down.

Then the Immortals, basically Chinese Confucian demons who are pretty strict, but are kind of trying to build something better.

Thing is, I'm kinda tired of all the demonic stuff though, so many games have either the demonic look, or the genetic monster that just so happens to look demonic thing going on it gets old.

Only thing that holds me back is that I've got 2 new games I'm getting into.
