My gaming group is starting infinity and I'm thrilled. Are the factions relatively balanced? We've got some competitive players who will go straight for the cheese.

PROSECUTOR: By now, there have been 34 casualties.

The entire game is extremely balanced, and to a very new player some things will look like cheese there is a counter to everything. PLEASE, if you find something that looks like cheese they are doing, just ask advice here and we can give you a heads up how to take it down.

A forewarning, most "cheese" comes from people playing the rules wrong lol.

There are some "power builds" but while they seem impossible to take down, there ARE ways to do it, and even the smallest trooper can pull off a miracle sometimes.

As a fellow noob to the game, I fully expect to lose ALL of my games as part of the learning curve (I really hate chainrifles). Should I on the off chance win one at this stage, I generally ask my more experienced opponent how it happened.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

The different factions are certainly well balanced. There are a few troops choices that are exceptionally good value for their points cost, but these are well distributed across the range.

I'm working on a Haqqislam force while doing training games using 40k minis.
