Well here is my First Squad Painting, Attempting to go a Blood angel DoA Army but im scared of painting my Sanguinary Guard when it comes.

Any Tips/Suggestions on how to Paint better are greatly greatly appreciated

You are starting off really well, ill be following to see some of your finished guys cause its a little early to throw any suggestions at ya. Are you going for blending or highlights for later on?

I havent decided yet, not sure I wanna try blending and still trying to figure out what colour to highlight with
right now the armor is mechrite+blood red

I think the harness for the jump pack needs some highlight on it rather than just plain black. Maybe drybrush mithril silver? The eyes on the helmets also seem to disappear into the helmets so maybe a bit more emphasis here.

The wash effect on the red armour has come out nicely.

For blood red armor i usually do a blazing orange highlight, to how extreme you want the highlight is up to you, i usually go for a light line highlight.
