Hello Dakka Dakka. My name is Rick and Im from the midwest. Ive been wargaming for around a year and I am hopelessly addicted to it. Ive really enjoyed every aspect of the hobby and find my mind constantly occupied by 40k. A friend who Ive gamed with for a long time talked me into trying this "really expensive and complex game" that looked like a ton of fun to play. We stumbled through the learning process with the PATIENT guidance of a mutual friend who's been playing for about 3 years. It was so different from any game I'd every played and have been digging it ever since. We split the AOBR box set and it was decided that I would play orks after the flip of a coin. Ive got a little of 3000 points of orks so far and recently started collecting a Space Wolves army. I have to admit as much fun as orks have been Im ready to play something with a decent BS that doesnt consist of 150+ models to move per turn lol.
Ive read tons of info on all the forums and this website has been a huge help to me understanding 40k in the past year. It seems like a great group of people and I decided to finally make a profile and start posting. I really look forward to bouncing ideas off you guys and hopefully expanding my knowledge in the process. So hopefully I won't put my foot in my mouth too often and make some friend along the way.
Happy wargaming!
