I started this project a couple of weeks ago and it got pushed back a bit by the Summer holidays and a couple of foster children passing through our home. But anyway, here's the model:



And the base, which I've sculpted onto a resin plinth from BNS Miniatures:



After a black primer coat, I applied a couple of coats of VMC Middlestone and then Buff:



And at last, today, I had time to get some proper painting done:
