I live about an hour in between Huntsville and Birmingham near a town called Cullman, AL. I used to live in Birmingham are and played warhammer 40k for about 8 or 10 years then I stopped because of all the drama between people. I don't have any armies atm, but I would like to start collecting again and playing. Before I start spending money on paint and miniatures, I wanted to find some places either in Huntsville area or Birmingham area that still play. I work weekends so I would like to play during the week sometime between tuesday and friday. Also I was wondering if any one knew a good place to go in person or online that has good prices.

Take a look at these two web sites. One is for the Huntsville gaming group and the other for Birmingham. AFAIK, there are 1-2 stores in Huntsville and 2 stores in the Birmingham area:
