This was my first attempt at creating any kind of fluff. So if it's not that good, please leave comments and suggest what I do better next time I make some fluff up.


Chaos - Slaanesh - Angels of Eternity

The Angels of Cyrax where a once noble chapter for the Imperium, Fighting a Tyranid splinter fleet from Hive
Fleet Leviathan. The Tyranid splinter fleet going towards the Eastern fringe. The Ultramarines had just won the
Battle for Macragge and the splinter fleet was on it's way towards Ultramar.The Angels of Cryax knew the
Ultramarines were weakened by the attack of Hive flee Behemoth, So they went to engage the seemingly
small splinter fleet before it could get to the Ultramar system. So taking their 3 best battle barges,
"The Holy Fire" "Unrelenting Purgation" and "Anvil Of His Will".

The Angels of Cyrax, Found the Tyranids just as they were about to attack an Agri-world with little other Imperial
defenses than a few Imperial Guard regiments. It took little time to find the Tyranid Hiveship, The Space marines
bombarded the ship with Torpedo and Missile launchers, Almost immediately the Hiveship Starts to shake and
move. The Marines thought they had already won the fight without being shot at once by the alien menace.
But they suddenly saw thousand upon thousands of drones start swarming around the damaged Hiveship, until
Finally they broke away from the hive ship and started attacking the "Anvil of his Will" and the "Unrelenting
Purgation". The "Holy Fire" however was in the greatest distress, for a Razor fiend had come from the side while
the "Holy Fire" was attacking the Hiveship. Using long tentacle as as clubs in an attempt to literally smash
the Battle barge in two. The "Holy Fire" would have been completely destroyed if the Guard regiments on the
Agri-world had not called for support from the Imperial navy a few days earlier. Opening up on the Razor fiend
assaulting the "Holy Fire" the Imperial Battleship "Crown of Terra" Blasted it's Mars-pattern Nova Cannon into
the Razor fiend's side. The "Holy Fire" now critically injured, helped the "Unrelenting Purgation" and "Anvil
of His Will" with the little fire power it still had operational. The "Crown of Terra" Set it's torpedo batteries
at the Hiveship. With the Hiveship already weakened by the first assault from the Space marine battle barges,
the torpedoes ripped the Hiveship to ribbons. The remaining drones and Tyranid Bio-ships, now scattered and
confused, were easy target practice for the Imperial Battleship. with the Tyranid Splinter fleet destroyed,
the Space marine battle barges went back to Cryax, in what they saw as, "a shameful defeat". They would have
been completely destroyed if the "Crown of Terra" had not arrived at such an opportune time. This Embarrassed
The Angels of Cryax to no end, Some wishing that they had been destroyed by the Tyranids, rather than the
Imperial navy stealing their glory.

-The Angels of Cryax began the necessary repairs on their ships as soon as possible. They now had a new goal,
They needed to regain their honor! Soon after their ships had been repaired, They heard a call for help from a
nearby Hive world. The Imperial guard were slowly failing to hold back the tides of chaos that threatened the Hive
world. The Angels of Cryax sent the "Holy Fire" to deal with the chaos forces. Once the battle barge finally made
it to the Hive world, the imperial guard were pushed to their limits, falling back to the final rally point. The Space
Marines launched many drop pods into the midst of the Chaos forces. One of the drop pods contained the
Chapter Master Lord Cryox and Chief Librarian Sarvik. Their drop pod landed directly into the center of where the
fight was at it's worst. The drop pods doors blew outward and the Chapter master Cryox rampaged into a squad
of Noise marines. Using his Thunder hammer to break the spines of two noise marines with one swing.
Meanwhile, Chief Librarian Sarvik was destroying a squad of Traitor guardsmen with a wave lightning.
The Librarian and Chapter master than turned their attention to a Defiler that was charging towards them.
The Defiler shot a missile at the Librarian who in turn jumped out of the way just in time to avoid the shot.
Chapter Master Cryox decided to retaliate by jumping on top of the twisted machines hull and smashing
a hole in the beast with his thunder hammer. Still in the fight the defiler grabbed the chapter master with
it's last bit of energy and tried to crush him with his claws. The Librarian, seeing his Chapter master, in Peril
unleashed a volley of bolter rounds into the beasts chest. Losing power, the machines grip loosened until it was
vanquished with a powerful spell sent from the Librarian right hand. Now wounded, the chapter master could not
fight with full strength. Unwilling to accept this, Cryox charged headlong into the chaos sorcerer who was leading
the attack. The sorcerer know as Lord Arakan laughed, for he knew the Chapter master could not fight in his
current state. "Where is you're emperor now, space marine. Surely he can give you the strength to smite me down.
Can he not?" Said Arakan, with a grim smile on his face. "I am an instrument of the Emperors will, I am his sword,
and he is my shield. And with his protection, I shall smite you foul traitor!" Cyrox charged forward with an ungodly
rage in his eyes, and the Emperors words on his lips. Arakan smiled, and in a blink of an eye was gone. Cryox
slammed his hammer into the barren earth in a foul rage. For his chance to regain the Pride of his chapter was
gone. During this conflict, the chief librarian was helping the remaining guard forces hold out as long as possible,
but their was no hope for victory on this day. The chaos forces seemed unending. and the guards had little in the
way of armored forces. They only were down to their last three Leman Russ battle tanks, and a two basilisks.
The forces of chaos had won. The Chapter master enraged by yet another failure for his chapter. Had told the
remaining space marines under his command to retreat to the "Holy Fire". Still weakened by the fight with
the defiler, the chapter master slowly started succumb to the wounds. A pack of daemonetts enjoyed ripping
the dying Chapter master apart.....Chief Librarian Sarvik was now on the "Holy Fire". It didn't take him long
to realize something wasn't right. He was alone, the Chapter master had ordered everyone back on the
battle barge. Hearing a voice in his head, the librarian realized what had happened. "well, that was a very
amusing fight...librarian" said Arakan. Shaking his head in disbelief, Sarvik barked "Show yourself traitor!"
Arakan just laughed and said, "You are weak Sarvik, you're space marines were weak, your chapter master
was weak as well" "QUITE HERETIC!" yelled Sarvik! "We are strong....the emperor gives us strength" "The Emperor
is a rotting corpse, he has no power!" snickered Arakan. "ENOUGH" screamed Sarvik! Arakan continued to laugh
a horrible laugh that would make a hardened space wolf cringe. Until finally their was only the sound of footsteps
they were close by, it was the Astartes that made it off the world alive. "Chief Librarian, are you okay?" said one
of the Astartes. "I...I am fine." Set course back to Cryax....

Slowly over the course of the next few months, the space marines of the Angels of Cryrax began to hate. Hate
The imperial navy for taking their victory against the Tyranids, Hated the imperial guard for not being strong
enough to defend their own planet. Hated Chaos for humiliating them and killing their Chapter master. Soon
this hate turned into a will to improve, to be the best. They needed to be Flawless, be able to destroy anything
that got in their way. Not long after that the sorcerer Arakan visited Sarvik, promising him, and his marines
perfection, as long as they fought for the dark god Slaanesh. Sarvik, now filled only with hate, and the need
to be perfect in every aspect, accepted Arakans request. And soon the Angels of Cryax became know as
"The Angels of Eternity" because of they shall forever strive to be perfect for all eternity.

Once the inquisition found out about this heresy, they attack the planet Cryax with the help of the Grey knights.
Their goal was to purge the entire planet with exterminatus. The Angels of Eternity where eager to see how their
constant training for perfection had made them better. Sending all three battles barges, now completely possessed
by Chaos. To attack the fleet threatening to destroy their planet. The battle barges now bore new names the
"Holy Fire" was now the "Unholy Flame" the "Unrelenting Purgation" was now the "Bane of Eternity" and the
"Anvil of his Will" is now the "Sacred Excess". Using their new found Chaos powers, the Three battle barges
Clashed with the three Imperial ships. Shooting drop pods into the hulls of the Imperial ships, the Angles of Eternity
boarded the fleet. Almost immediately as they landed the assaulting chaos marines were facing the wrath of the grey knights.
But the Grey Knights were few, and the Angels of Eternity now had the aid of daemons to unleash their endless assault.
Quickly becoming overrun and defeated, the Angels of Eternity and daemons of chaos were now slaughtering the demoralized guard
regiments that were aboard the ship. It didn't take the forces of chaos long to completely kill anyone who didn't already submit to their will.
Planting many melta charges around the ship, primarily in ammunition storage, the Chaos marines turned the ship to ram right into
the second battleship. Right as the two battleships collided, the marines detonated the melta charges and only debris of either ship was left standing.
The only ship left was an Inquisitorial cruiser. Completely outnumbered, the ship decided to try to destroy the planet before the three battle barges
could rip them apart. Firing a mighty extermanatus, the planet of Cryax was turned to dust and ash in a matter of minuets. Infuriated, the chaos fleet
shot everything they had at the cruiser, turning it into a smoldering ruin. With no planet left to call home, the chaos fleet took the three battle barges
into the warp.

Battle Barges don't attack capital ships let alone Battleships...
They can but the odds are they will lose unless they have been completly refitted with different weaponry.
Black Ships are also very much non-combat ships so they would have very few, if any weapons.
Otherwise it's okay.

I thought that I would completely screw up the space fighting part....I know little to nothing about the space crafts of 40k. I just used lexicanum to try to get some quick facts. like what ships were called what, and what guns they used. Do you know anywhere that I could go to learn more about space fights in 40k.

The point about SM is that, although they fight the hardest battles, they cannot fight all the battles. The rely on the Imperial Navy in space and the Imperial Gaurd on ground in order to keep the Imperium largely intact. The Imperial Navy can handle pretty much all situations in space SM are better at landings and boarding actions. If they had boarded the battleship... well that makes more sense. Black ships don't belong in this at all. Change it for an Inquisitorial cruiser, a battlebarge can fry one of those.

Not meaning to be a negative nancy, but theres a part where you've mixed up your sorcerer and librarians names, and also gone from cyrax to corax and cyrox to cyrax...

I was hoping I didn't do that, I was incredibly tired. But the name of the world is Cryax, the chapter master is Cryox. But I will go through and make some changes. Thanks for pointing this out.

Okay I redid the space battle and the errors I had. Thanks purplefood and crimson hammer for the help.
