Hello Everybody,

We will be Running a 2v2 Practice event in preparation for our Big Winter Doubles Event in December.

1750pts. $10 per head, food included. Lots of fun

1750 per person or per side?

Just to clarify.
I talked to the store.
It is 2000 points per side. 1000 points per player. Doubles tournament. There is room for 16 teams.
While it is a "practice" tournament, there will be store credit given out as well as grub.

Start time?

Okay, I have talked to the store owner and here is information:

October 22nd, 2011 (the 8th is a 1750 point RTT style tournament)
Doubles Tournament
Check-in: 0830
Start Time: 0900

2000 Points per team
1000 Points per player

Shared Force Organization Chart
Each Player must have: 1 HQ and 1 Troop
Team Mates are considered allies:
- Independent Characters may not join units from their partner’s army.
- Players only benefit from special rules or war gear in their own army.
Turns are taken as a team

NOTE: There is a rules packet that they are trying to get up on their Facebook Page.

can you have multiple of the same unique character? IE 2 mephistons,diargo(spelling?),Belial?

As you have to share a force organization chart, the answer is no.
You can only ever have one of any special character in the same force organization chart.

EDIT: My texting fingers are gonna go numb!

so if for instance you are running belial can your team mate take deathwing termis as troops(If they are playing Dark Angels?)

The answer is that only one of the players can take Deathwing as troop, as only one of them can have Belial as a character.
The other player can take them as elites, but would have to field at least one troop choice.

How long is each round since the game might get bogged down a bit with four people?

I have friends that play doubles all the time (they even practice together). when you move on your turn you have to both be playing your turn at the same time or you wont make it.

All games will have a 2.5 hour time limit.

Grimgob is right, during your turn you both have to be moving, shooting, and assaulting as a team or you will not get done in time. However, if you treat it as a joint "team" turn, you should have no problem.

Start time is 11 pm for the RTT (They hold one of these a month)
It is three rounds using Book Missions.
It is Battle Points with a few extra modifiers for specific goals: Kill Any HQ, Kill Most Expensive Unit, etc.
1750 Points
Each Round is 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Prizes for 1-3.
$5 dollar entry fee.

Just a reminder that the doubles tournament is this Saturday.
Here is some extra explanation of the rules.


 Each player will have an army consisting of 1,000 points.
 Each team will consist of TWO players each playing a 1,000 point army for a total of 2,000 points.
 A team (both players) is limited to ONE Force Organization Chart between them.
• In other words, if one player takes three elites, his teammate would not be able to take any elites.
• That means a team can have:
o 2 HQ’s
o 3 Elites
o 6 Troops
o 3 Fast Attack
o 3 Heavy Support
 Teams can combine any legal Games Workshop Codexes, even if they do not make since from a fluff perspective.
 Each Player must have the following elements in their individual armies:
• 1 HQ
• 1 Troop
 For all game purposes, teammates are consider allies; as such:
• Independent Characters may not join units from their partner’s specific army.
• Players only benefit from special rules or wargear in their own army.
 Turns are taken as a team, with both players moving, shooting, assaulting, etc.
