Critical games in Hobart is closing this weekend(11th), at 12:30 on the 10th they are having a free final 40k event and selling off everything left after. galactic greg's in Valparaiso is the only store in the region that hosts play after crit closes (play on Sunday evenings). Lightspeed hobbies in Portage has a limited supply (and is owned by Sparky, Greg's old manager). And Valpo Hobby (formally pet and hobby) has a much larger selection sInce thy phased out the pet stuff. Also, they are a model store, so have all your hobby needs; brushes, dremel bits, paints galore, airbrush, and tons of terrain supplies (definately worth checking out).

Of course there are tons of people that play in their basement and garages. And don't forget, while there is no official GW store in Indiana, there are more GW stores in the Chicago suburbs than anywhere in the US (look it up).

But that's it to the best of my knowledge in th region. Actually I started 40k at J&J Coins in century mall like 15ys ago, but no more. Unfortunately, the cost to run a playing area is not worth it to most stores, and frankly, brick and mortar game stores do not work anymore since the new generation preferred to save money buying on eBay, forcing stores to close their doors and now they have nowhere to play. The only stores that have survived is because of other business in their store (specifically comics and in the case of Valpo hobby, non-gaming models).

I realize this has turned into a different rant, so I'll just end by saying yes, plenty of 40k in the region - and everyone support your local store!
