So I just bought my first box of heavy gear blitz today and am very excited about it but I don't really know how I'm supposed to build the guys. Not physically build them I can figure that out but I mean are there restrictions for what weapons I can give them or how many each gear can have? Is it like 40k where different weapon configurations cost more points? I got the Southern fire support squad by the way.

orks ~ 2000 pts
chaos marines ~ 1500 pts
Daemons ~ 660 pts

I don't play Heavy Gear Blitz myself, but I'd place money on 'buying the rulebook' being a good idea.

Yes there are restrictions on weapons and differing load outs to TV (threat value) points.

But getting the basic rule book would be all you need if you are doing the south.

You can delay the rulebook purchase a bit if you like by downloading Gear Garage. It'll tell you if a combination is legal, albeit not if it's any good.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.
