Hey, don't know if anyone's noticed this yet, but it appears that Forgeworld have decided to remove the Death Korps of Krieg's ultra smexy comissar miniature's from their site for some reason. It seems that both the regular version and the tank commander variant are gone without head or tail of a reason why (as usual just before I placed an order for one ¬¬). Would anyone hazard a guess to the reason for this, or if they will be making an immiment return? =/

This gets asked very nearly every day on their Facebook page, and I try to answer it whenever I see it so they don't have to.

Currently:
The Death Korps Commissars have been pulled from sale (for now) as they're being repackaged and the molds needed to be remastered.

They should be back before the end of the year, in a single package of all three(the two foot and the tank commander variant) for an as yet unnoted price.

Inquisitor Solomon Lok and the Tech-Servitor from IA4 have both got the same thing going on.

Meh. Oh goody, so they'll be forcing us to buy more models than we may actually need and at increased prices then? Admittedly yes, they're all cool miniatures, and I could make use of all three...but its a bit useless if your not made of money or just one specific miniature. I take it the mold's are being redone due to the excess in people wanting to order the things then (I guess they are one of the customer's favorite's). =/

Is peeved. ¬¬

* Oh and mods; point made, may as well lock this thread. =P

Price is not known yet, so to say it's "at increased prices" is a bit premature.

If I had to ballpark it: 15 GBP for all 3, as that's what we're seeing for the "Command" for Warhammer Forge Empire/Chaos Dwarf stuff, which is three models as well.

With the current conversion rate, that comes out to $23 USD without shipping (which will probably be almost as much as the models, but that's another matter entirely...) and the models had been roughly 5-9 GBP each( I think. I can't find my catalog right now).

They originally sold for something like £8 or so I think, which was affordable...but I doubt that the company will miss the opportunity to raise their prices when rereleasing these minis (do they ever?). However, yes, they will probably sell for something in the region of £15 I imagine, at least based on them selling the Krieg Quartmaster (five miniatures) for £23. ...Eugh, this pricing system is giving me a headache. ^^'

They were more than that, according to the 2011 catalog(finally found it, it was in my transfer sheet drawer).
10.20 GBP for the 'foot' Commissars and 5.10 GBP for the Tankissar.

So if it's 15 GBP like I'm predicting...it'd actually be cheaper than buying them individually, at least if you plan on using all three.

Well, they did do a series of micro-price rises a while ago.

Yeah, I don't pay too much attention to the price raises in terms of the shifts.

Mostly because I can never find my daggone catalogs.

As a result of the vat increase. ^^

So if they were to sell them at the same prices as they do other three model sets like the empire command they'd be making a huge loss (well...less profit that is)? £15 is pretty affordable, but I wouldn't hold my breath on them not treating the whole situation as an exscuse for a price hike on the other sets just to bring them in line with the original price for the commissars. =/

Heck, they might even be 12.50 GBP.

That's how much the set of three Tau Air Caste are.

I think this thread has run its course by now. Best to lock it now before others come along and use less gentle words.
