hey all

I'm looking for older crowd of 40k players, I live in the Bealeton, Culpeper area of Va and while I've been to the GW shops in Fair oaks and Springfield I'm hoping to avoid them as much as possible do to the angry Teen rage that flows through their! I'm relatively new to 40k been playing about 6 months and have about 2000 pts of BA.

I live in your area and the stores that I have visited are :
The Game Vault - Fredriskburg. Very active game crowd and a good number of mature players as well as otherwise. The owner is awesome.
The End Game Center - Charlottesville - (My home area) smaller crowd but a good number of mature gamers as well as otherwise.
Dragon's Hoard - Staunton. Only been there once and cant give much of an oppinion.
FTW Games - Richmond. fairly new store but the 3 times ive been there had a good crowd.

Hope this helps.
All the above have websites and most have forums.

Ah, I grew up in the Bealeton area. Drove through their a few months ago and was shocked at how much it has grown over the past 10 years. There's actually shops and things at the corner of 17 and 28!

Currently, though, I'm about an hour away, so not much help. There is a hobby shop in Warrenton, although I don't know how much 40k is played there. There's also Game Parlor in Chantilly (not much better travel wise, but a better crowd), and Huzzah Hobbies in Ashburn (not a ton of 40k played there, but an absolutely awesome crowd including yours truly).

I'm starting a Blood Angels army and am looking for people to play with. I currently have no experience and no army YET (soon, very soon). I live in Glen Allen, and need some friends in this hobby. Interested?

sucky aim but great leadership

I know piperider mentioned he being an hour away, but if you want to drive up there every so often, you could try out Huzzah Hobbies. Piperider and others up there are pretty awesome players and are friendly toward new people dropping in. Anyhow, it's a pretty cool shop up in Ashburn. I personally live in Fairfax/Chantilly (a little over 4 miles from Game Parlor Chantilly/2 miles from FairOaks Mall) and it is what I deem as the 'perfect spot'. I'm an hour from Fredricksburg, less than an hour from Silver Spring, MD, 30 minutes or so from Ashburn, and 30-1 hour from all the guys that game between my house and where I work (Fort Myer). So if you're wanting to get together on some weekend (other than this coming one) hit me up and I can try and make it out to wherever.
