Sorry of this is a silly question but I haven't been paying attention recently...

Is Finecast "direct only" and limited at retailers or are there other outlets, like Internet retailers that sell Finecast and may have better deals?
I just haven't seen anyone advertising it so I didn't know.

I buy all of my finecast from my local GW store. It's where I game (when I play gw games that is) and also if it's miscast like a couple of the ones I've purchased have been I can turn it in immediately and get another one.

As far as I know there is no limitation as to where you can buy those types of models.

Having said that, I would buy them somewhere where you can inspect the model before purchasing it, the miscast rate is still relevant and even though GW will trade you a defective model with minimum hassle, I'd prefer to save myself the trouble (well, I save myself the trouble by not buying anything failcast in the first place, but you get my point).

miniaturemarket.com has first wave finecast available at 25% off GW price. Other than that I have to go through GW. My FLGS told me that they can't get finecast.

Some people don't have local GW store. No GW exists in my state in fact.

Shocking I know...

It's unfortunate that they closed the stores in Manchester, and Hartford ain't it?

Based upon the experience I have had with the quality issues, your local GW or direct from GW is preferred - for refunds/replacements.

However, if your LFGS is happy to go through the hassle of replacements for you, do not favour GW over them.

Well I have a wholesale account so I wouldn't be buying from them even if they opened across the street from my house.

That being said, the assumption that everyone has a "local" GW store is a false one...

No, my closest actual stockist is 45 minutes away. And they'll just get further and further away from everyone if the first place everyone shops at is the anonymous but ubiquitous "20% off retail" places on the internet.
