I'm not sure you're going to find a single, 'this is the way to do it' site anywhere. There are as many different ways to run campaigns as there are campaigns.
My advice for campaigns and ladder leagues:
1) Make sure you stick to a schedule. Make sure that each turn takes the same amount of time; whether that means it starts on the first of every month, or lasts 3 club nights, or whatever. Once you are fuzzy once with the time limits, everything goes out the window.
2) If you've written your own campaign rules, or are adapting ones from somewhere else, give them to players a month in advance and ask for feedback. Embrace criticism. Make sure that your power gamers or rules lawyers get the rules, and tell them to find the flaws.
3) Make sure you have a clear indication of campaign status, assigned games, and ladder position at the club. Invest $10 in a whiteboard or a laminated map so that your players don't have to check your club website all the time.
4) Tournaments are trickier and change vastly depending on the number of people playing, the scenarios and army sizes used, the number of days... there is really no 'generic' tournament advice. I would suggest however having a clear policy before tournaments as to specific FAQ (whether you use the INAT FAQ or a home-grown one).
