Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Shouldn't we have a longer time period for adding to threads than one month. People can be away for that amount of time and have something to add.

Personally I would feel no compulsdion against adding to a thread a month after the last poster, I would not consider the thread dead on most parts of the forum, excepting only the 'survivor game' section.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I thought it were three, though I have seen threads locked after being in active for three days at least once.

I guess it depends on the mod who reviews it if anything can be added into it then or not, because it seems it is alright if the thread is not too old and discussion can actually continue.

Whether or not a thread is locked is really dependent upon what type of thread it is.

If it is a very topical discussion where a month passing means the information at the start of the thread is now wrong or misleading, then it typically should be locked for necromancy.

However, if it is non-topical thread (like painting or modeling) then it should not get locked pretty much ever.

What specific thread(s) do you feel were inappropriately locked?

This one, I had a question to ask, but fortunately it was answered elsewhere.

I am not asking for a specific reopening, just a heads up on policy regarding necro. I know you have taken the IMHO very reasonable step of leaving blogs of any length open, but I thought a general fair necro limit was a quarter, with exception for quick post game boards.
