Is there going to be a space marine 2? Because at the end of the first one there was a preview, so I'm assuming there is going to be a second one.
P.S I was hoping the second one would be smashing termagaunts and hormagaunts!

Space Marine 2 has been delayed "indefinitely" as they work on Dark Millennium and the next Dawn of War.

I think their will be a second one....but not for like....3-4 more years

Right, it'll take a few years, but they'll have one. It sold far more than they expected.

It might be my 40k fanboism, but I found that to be an odd statement for them to make from a gaming perspective. I mean, since the launch of DOW, warhammer 40k games have had a steady rise in sales/fans (with the exception to that Tau game) I mean personally, I hear news of a 40k game, and just kindda assume its going to do well. Finally this game is getting popular, though that could also be a bad thing

No I mean, these 40k games become popular, therefore the actual tabletop game starts getting more popular, which at first seems like a good thing. BUT, the age group starts to drop in age big time, and so GW think they have to further dumb down the game rules not only for the younger crowd, but also in general so it appeals to a broader group.

Thats what I meant, good 40k games mean, a potential crap fest on MY game of choice

The sad part king is that I find kids are usually able to grasp complicated rules with more ability than a lot of adults give them credit for.

Meh - those complicated rules are built for kids. After all, they're the ones who can name all 139270 Pokemon, or remember an extensive vocabulary of dinosaur names. When those rules boil down to 'run your guys at their guys then role a bunch of dice', kids are going to love it!

As for Space Marine 2... meh. I'd rather see all the work go into making Dark Millennium a half-way decent MMOTPS. And yet, with Mechwarrior: Online finally announced, again - meh!

I'm one of those kids that got turned onto 40k from DoW-1......I think I have decent (not great) painting, and a decent (not great) understanding of the rules, I'm 16, and I don't think i'm dumbing down the game.....

But I do see your point...
