Is Fallout 3 on 360 any good? I just want to know because I found it for a pretty good price. Cheers

It's not that bad, lacks the mod support the PC version has but I guess it depends on if you liked oblivion cause in a way it's that with guns.

Everyone calls Fallout 3 'Oblivion with guns'. Sure, it shares the same engine (which means the same level of immersion), but it's a whole lot less tedious (don't mistake this for 'easier'; it's actually a much harder game), a whole lot more atmospheric, and it has a much better narrative and a more inspired setting. You don't have to worry so much about grinding or min/maxing, and you can simply play the game and enjoy it. The game's targeting system also makes the gameplay much more cinematic and strategic, in my opinion; I never got bored with the actual gameplay like I did with Oblivion. It is undoubtedly an excellent game. If you're looking for a game that you can really sink your teeth into, then you can't go wrong with Fallout 3. The only complaint I have about it is that the mostly brown and grey landscape is incredibly depressing and sometimes daunting (especially when you're trying to explore the ruins of inner-city DC), and I didn't find it all that fun to explore. You'll need the Broken Steel DLC (at the very least) to enjoy the game to it's full potential, as without it, the game comes to a complete end once you beat the main storyline. Ten extra levels doesn't hurt anything, either.

Likewise Oblivion can be played much the same, it's a simplified description.

If you've never played it before, and can grab the GotY Edition (with all the DLC) for cheap, DO IT.
It's a great game.

There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable. |

Yes!!! It is probably my favorite game on the 360. I have over 300 hours of gameplay. ON ONE CHARACTER. (I do have all DLC though, and I frikking saw EVERYTHING on the map and now there is absolutely nothing in the game left for me to do.)
