It's been a long time coming now. I've been planning this for a year or two at this point. I've been wanting to get back into doing a power armored army, and none other then the mighty sons of russ, the space wolves would feel right. Im starting relatively small right now, working on my first 1000 points, Afew small conversions here and there, before i find my way to bigger and greater sagas. As it stands right now, i've gotten Fourty grey hunters Built, 34 bolters, 2 plasma, 2 melta, and 2 power fists in that lot. I've got a single attack bike thus far, as well as two salvaged rhinos, both reclaimed for the all father from the foul traitor legions of Magnus the Red.

As i work more and more on this, ill be updating my blog as i go along, step by step.. even if i skipped afew, by starting alittle bit late!

I've gotten my first test figure partly painted up, mostly right now at the stage for the armor color.. and im not too sure if i like the way it turned out, so i may be trying a different method as soon as i've got some more free time to sit down, And hopefully.. get a compressor for my airbrush.

It's hard to tell by the picture, but I think the Grey Hunter(?) could use a Badab Black wash just to add some shadow to him.

Still, looking good, keep it up!

Im alive! Really i am.. I know i know, its taken me a.. miserablly long time to make any sort of updates onto this blog of mine, im ashamed to say that i havnt had much urge to work on my wolves. But with the new edition (which i havnt played yet) Some new tools to play around with, namely an airbrush, and oil washes, I've stepped back into painting up my wolves for right now atleast.

Instead of simply diving right back into the fold head first, i've broken out my airbrush, and gotten an oil wash to try my hand with a first set of five grey hunters, see how they turn out before deciding it this is the direction that i want to run with them. I've taken a few risks this time around by trying out several new techniques that i've never even attempted before this point in time, i would like to think that the way that they have turned out here shows my progress as a painter. First of all was painting the armor main color with an airbrush, and using a gloss varnish to act as a layer to lather over with an oil wash. Now i still have alittle bit of work to do before i can matte coat them to seal my work off. The two bare headed ones need to have their hair highlighted, especially the fellow in black, and then i need to decide what colorations i want to go with on my plasma gunner. Anyone have some thoughts, or some advice that want to chime in with, id be happy to hear it.
