Okay a while ago i reported a site to GW customer sevice that was to be forwarded to thier legal department, it was a site selling resin blood angels, grey knights, chaos, anf forgeworld bits for uber cheap the had like 85 blight drones $30.00 usd each, i stumbled upon this site when i was search for a site that sold blight drones in usd, because my bank dosnt like conversion charges.I am wondering was it right to do that, they were selling resin dreadknights, furioso dreadnoughts, resin daemon princes, forge world units for hell of cheap, is it right to do that

Gathering the Informations.

If they're selling resin Dreadknights, Daemon Princes, etc--they're recasting and you should be reporting them same as you did the other one.

Matters of "right" or "wrong" are subjective.

The site you are referring to is likely chinese, and as such they just ignore the laws of most everyone else in cases like this.

The recasting of GW or FW parts in the US is illegal and such sites would be shut down if they operated in the US or UK.

EDIT: don't be surprised if nothing happens. England isn't going to invade China for simple cases of copyright infringement.

Report all you like, as the previous poster said, the main site is hosted in China. Nothing can be done about it as there are no IP / Copyright laws between the two countries.

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

Recasting of other companies' products is legally wrong and ethically wrong.
GW may be the scum of the earth or the holiest of holies... they're getting wronged here.

However, your question is whether or not it's right for you to report these recasters to GW.

If you like GW, then at best you're bringing it to their attention.
I personally dislike GW's prices and believe you should simply mind your own business.

Realistically though, there's nothing you, I, or GW can do about this matter considering the reacasters likely lie in a country where copyrights are not well-enforced (...like China).
If money-loving lawsuit-flinging Apple is struggling with issues like this, there's really nothing GW can do.

As an aside, these recasters are probably doing a shoddy job anyways.

I would have. Website like that always seem very Sketchy to me and dont need to be around. I feel those site hurt the hobby more then any thing due to the fact thee sending out fake product and saying its legit.

Probably work

Hmm. I guess you could call it 'right'. I call it unnecessary. I mean, it's a kindly thing to do, I suppose, but I honestly think that GW is more than equipped to police it's own copyright issues.

As much as I hate on IP and copyright, blatantly recasting with the intent of selling it doesn't benefit anyone who cares about "the hobby".
