Dakka Detachment Three was:

AgeOfEgos
RiTides
Ketara
Alpharius

Unfortunately, Ketara has had to drop out.

We need a fourth!

The theme is Pre-Heresy + True Scale (sort of) Marines

AgeOfEgos = Legio Custodes based off of C: GK
Ritides = Pre-Heresy Blood Angels based off of C: BA
Alpharius = Pre-Heresy Alpha Legion based off of C: CSM

Another "True Scale" marine army would work well, as would a Pre-Heresy "Imperial Army" based off of C: IG.

The benefit here is that you'd have a 'free' ticket for the Team Tournament and a free Team Shirt (already paid for).

If interested, post here.

Thanks!

What does pre-heresy IG look like? I'm curious.

For the most part, they look a little more ornate - probably close to what the Imperial Guard Vostroyan Firstborn look like?

But really, in the end, who knows, so they can look like just about anything, really.

Pre-heresy and true scale Raven Guard would sound like fun, but my modeling skills are nowhere near halfway decent enough to pull that off.

Go the third party route!

Chapter House's True Scale kits work with the 'standard' marine parts very well!

Did a quick look through their website but only found the Stormraven conversion, gonna look some more at work today.

I also play a lot of scouts, which I have no idea on how to "true scale"...and my painting is still gak don't think I have the money to pay somebody to paint.

It sounds like a great opportunity, need to give it some thought,

Yes, we need a 4th! Thanks for making this thread, Alph, hopefully we can get it sorted quickly . It would be very helpful if this person were a DCM, since we've been working out the details in that subforum... if not maybe we can chip in and make them one, or something

I could probably do a pre-heresy a little easier than true scale.

But I think that the Combat Patrol and the Killteam games are going to be a great opportunity to get my feet wet for true scale.

Now...how do I true scale scouts and a land speeder

Truescale scouts sounds tricky! A land speeder should be doable, though...

Have you already committed to attending Adepticon, just out of curiosity?

Got my tickets already, and I am signed up for some workshops on Friday, was planing on running some combat patrol on Saturday, and Kill Team on Sunday.

I actually did some searching last night and saw some interesting possibilities for True Scale Scouts. Basically using some bigger legs (regular marine torso/chest) with bigger arms, GS the back of the torso in a scouty way...

Storm would be a lot of plasticard I would imagine, which I would need help with as I have never done that before.

Thanks to you guys I will probably end up doing a True Scale Scout Combat Patrol if I stick with that.

Anyone who thinks that they might be interested in joining our team - please post here, along with what army you'd like to bring.

Thanks!
