(Apologies for posting this in the wrong section, I have too many tabs open it seems)

So I thought it time I start a work log, I move slow though doing 1 or 2 small things on a mini a night, no rush

Anyway here are a finished gaunt, a damaged gaunt and some work in progress.

I am hurting for a suitable hive fleet name so suggestions are welcome.

Process at the moment for the blue is a mordian blue base coat, enchanted blue highlights, all over wash of asurman blue, pick out highlights again in enchanted and then a final highlight of enchanted and ice blue 50/50.

First completed gaunt. This uses a different paint method to the one detailed above, definitely refined now. This was the first thing I painted in 12 years though :3

Here is a finished gaunt using a more refined paint method but sadly there was an issue that involved a drop and a break away from the base :(

Some work in progress gaunts from earlier tonight, using my finalized method.

And finally my work area. A clamp on lamp that articulates over the desk was the single best purchase I may of ever made.

Hive fleet names after mythological monsters always work well. The blue has a really nice effect!
