(This is all written to be set in the modern day; i.e. it's 2011 in all these stories in our time)

It is inane for the human race to believe that they are the only living beings in the universe.

Through some strange machinations of mass-god, luck or just sheer biological benevolence, what would be known as 'unthinkable' by the lesser Sapiens did occur.

The Earth is not the only place in the universe that can support humanoid life.

Far beyond the reaches of the human sphere of technological observation, there lies a system of seven planets revolving around a black sun. This system is known by its inhabitants as the Fashnia system.

The epicentre of the planets is known as Fashnia Prime, a gargantuan forest world that dwarfs even Jupiter of the Solar System. Here lies a large portion of the Fashnian population, residing in an epic metropolis that dwarfs absolutely anything that humanity can dream of.

The Fashnians have mastered the art of extraterrestrial technology, putting them light years ahead of the Lesser in terms of war capacity and life expectancy.
Basic small arms that fire explosive microparticles, shadow absorption technology, super light speed, all of which dreamed by mortal men yet achieved by none, not at least by a Lesser Sapien.

The Fashnian Empire spans an entire solar system, their economy supports billions comfortably and in luxury, and they can smash aside any resistance that stands in their way without so much as any effort.

And yet they are constantly beset by enemies, supernatural terrors and masses upon masses of fascist enemies, each of which are hell bent upon destruction of not just Fashnia, but the entire universe.
The many metropolises and cities under Fashnia's control could never stave off the inevitable bloodshed that will occur, billions and billions throwing themselves down in arms while the lesser Sapiens sit idly by and pretend they are alone.

They are wrong. Once the Fashnians break free of their chains of strife, war and oppression, they will continue their march to control and guide the galaxy. No lowly mortal weakling is fit to control the galaxy.

Humanity's shadow is born, and only through their actions could they transcend darkness and become the light to guide them all home

The Fashnian

Despite their glaring hatred of the Homo sapien as lesser and weak compared to their own forms, the physical differences between the average Fashnian and the average human are so thin it is almost comical to believe there could be a racial animosity between the two.
In contrast with a standard humanoid, a Fashnian is slightly taller and a bit thinner; their eyes are generally sharper contrasts of blue, green and even red as opposed to the murky ambiguity of the human brown and hazel.
Their bodies are structured virtually the same; the Fashnian has no appendix, however, and their hands and fingers naturally return to a clawed arching position. Men are generally average-sized with broad shoulders and high stance; women are much less curvaceous then their Sapien counterparts but are taller.
Mentally, Fashnians are bred to have a constant danger-sense and consequently are extremely self aware and often chronically paranoid. The stereotypical Fashnian mentality is that of rejection of abstract concepts and only recognition of material results and wealth; metaphysical learnings are left to very few. They are no less intelligent than a human, but certainly often more intelligent.
In the field of battle, the Fashnians take their want for material results to new heights. They believe in excessive firepower, their weapons generally having extreme cyclic rates and devastating effects on their targets. This material desire also leads them to be rapidly moving, which poses a major threat to those who are pitted against them; a combination of speed and extreme firepower is incredibly dangerous and certainly a nightmare to counteract.

-I'm starting this gak again tomorrow, I'm tired.-
