hi everyone! i'm steve, and i used to play 40k back at the start of highschool, but haven't really thought about it for over a decade. i walked into my local games workshop store on a whim last weekend and walked out with the new starter set (wooops). and now i'm hooked again.
i'm working on cleaning up the box set models up over the next week so i can start having a bash and get used to the rules and the gameplay again. once that's done, i'm thinking of expanding the set to a crimson fists/ deathwatch crossover 'chapter' (not the most original nor competitive idea, but hopefully fun).
for now, here's what i'm been working on this week- the blackreach tac squad, and one of them pesky xenos for the vet sgt to point at (assuming these attachment things work..)

oh man  the saddest part is i knew to only paint one hand, which was reiterated by one of the staff at GW... but as soon as i got home my brain jumped to [necron voice] there appear to be two hands on this boltgun. allow me to paint them contemporaneously.[/necron]
where's the facepalming emorkticon?
