Hi all,

If you haven't seen it already then Battlecult are running the Rampage GT, intended to resurrect the heats and a final format which was so suddenly stopped by GW a couple of years back. I figured rather than keep up 2 individual heat threads all year I'd consolidate them all here. All of the events are being held at our regular venue at the Holiday Inn Central in Bristol.

We offer a 25% discount on any orders placed with Cut and Thrust Wargaming collected at the event (see rulespack for details) as well as prize support from KR Multicase:

"KR - soft foam for figures, hard cases for soft foam!"

Heat 1 takes place on the 28th/29th April with Heat 3 on the 7th/8th July.

The overall event outline can be found here.

Individual heat threads are here, appearing roughly 3 months ahead of time (links to TWF):

Heat 1 - 28th/29th April - Rulespack
Heat 2 - 7th/8th July
Final - 20th/21st October

Entrants lists for each heat:

Heats 2 and 3 going well Let's see some more of you though!

Regrettably we've taken the decision to cancel heat 1 as with the holidays upcoming and the poor uptake (as well as the conditions of our contract with HI) the event was looking totally unviable especially as the opening round of this event.

Heats 2 and 3 (or 1 and 2 as they are now!), both of which are looking very healthy, will still be continuing and the only change will be that the final will feature 44 players rather than 64. We hope no-one is too disappointed and have already contacted anyone who would be affected to let them know.

It's not all bad news though as after an extremely pleasant and productive phone conversation today I can also announce that Battlecult has secured an arrangement with KR Multicase to supply prize support to ALL of our events!

"KR - soft foam for figures, hard cases for soft foam!"

We look forward to bringing you a great range of KR products as prizes and I can honestly say there's no company I'd rather have onboard with Battlecult.

34 in for heat 1 now, it's looking like we'll have a good one! Remember also that with your ticket you acquire a MASSIVE 25% discount at Cut and Thrust Wargaming, perfect for picking up a new army just in time for 6th ed!

We're now well into 2012 and having touched down in England only to watch QPR get ROBBED today Battlecult are now back to work. Over the coming few weeks we'll be painting up stacks of terrain for all of you mad tournament types to fight it out over (and inevitably complain about how the LoS blockers were 3/16 of an inch too far to the left).

If you're looking for a laugh you can even listen to me try and promote the event on episode 101 of the 11th Company podcast due out (to the best of my knowledge) next Monday at midnight EST.

Hi guys

It's exactly 3 months to go until we kick off with the first heat of Rampage on the 28th/29th April - I'll be bunging up an individual heat thread in the near future so all the trash talking can begin

Still plenty of places left but growing interest and our appearance on the 40kUK podcast in a week or two plus an interview with the guys at Apostates Anonymous which should appear any day now will be bringing in more entrants - so if you want a place then speak up sooner rather than later!

There's 2 heats and the final - one in April and one in July with the final held in October.

All you have to do to sign up is tell us in the thread or send us an e-mail to general@battlecult.co.uk telling us which heat you want to come to and then Paypal £30 to payments@battlecult.co.uk

After that you just need to show up on time on the right days and play some games

Yeah there were 3 before and now there's two

I'll put your name down. I'll PM you about money but cash on the day isn't great as most of our costs occur long before the day itself.

Cash isnt great for me either as the blood of the imperium has stained my bank notes.

Sorry to keep clogging up your thread but one other thing. in your rules pack it states that there will be prizes. Are they cash prizes? vouchers? 40k models? What...?

Up to 38 now, great stuff! Surely we can make the push for a full 60 and really pack the room out?

We're up to 40 people for the first heat on April 28th/29th now! You still have just under a month to get involved so if you're interested then sign up now. If you can't make April then never fear as there's still heat 2 on the 7th/8th July!

46 entrants now - good stuff guys, let's make that push for 50! Remember that lists need to be in by the 15th of April which is this Sunday, and if you haven't paid yet then that also needs to happen asap

Here we go then, first round draw as well as a breakdown of what's coming:

I'm on there at the moment as the stand-in, we'll see whether that carries through.

A breakdown of the armies present - some of those 11 people with no list have actually submitted but our webmail client is rubbish and until I get on and fight with it I don't know what they are.

What a weekend! We're both absolutely shattered but it was 100% worth it. Thanks to everyone who turned out, it was great to see all of you and we hope that we've convinced you to come to more Battlecult events in future on the strength of this one! You guys managed to be a relaxed and friendly crowd whilst still having a bunch of very tight and competitive games and the amount of people who came up just to thank us and say what a good time you'd had made my weekend. Particular mention must go to our Geordie and Scottish madmen who made a pretty epic trek down to Bristol - good effort lads!

Congratulations to our winners - Stuart Brailsford for Best Army with his light-up Eldar, Paul Croghan in 3rd place, Chris Dickinson in 2nd and Richard Grint in 1st. We'll be in touch about trophies as soon as they show up - sorry we didn't have them on the day but it was unfortunately unavoidable.

The final results are below as well as the much-delayed final army breakdown - we had representatives from every book apart from Daemons and even managed multiple Sisters!

To quickly reiterate our upcoming events:

23rd June - Beyond the Call of Duty (£15)
7th/8th July - Rampage Heat 2 (£30)
4th/5th August - Crusade (£25)

We'd love to see you all again so do go ahead and make your way down.

We have a couple of bits of lost property - a green hoodie (I'm 99% sure who it belongs to but thought I'd throw it out there anyway) and an Imperial Guard codex. If you think these might be yours please contact us. On the reverse we have 2 dice cubes which have gone astray - if you find one again please get in touch (it's worth a go eh!)

Without further ado then here's the final standings; remember if you're in the top 19 you need to contact us about attendance to the final which is taking place on the 20th/21st October.

Thanks again everyone and we'll see you all soon!

Right guys, now that 6th ed is coming out the weekend before we have decide to use the 6th ed ruleset for this tournament. Its pretty short notice I know but it should sort the men from the boys as well as keeping the rules judges on their toes!

Also we are modifying the rules pack to grant anyone that enters this tournament, free entry to the final on 20th and 21st October, so although its short notice, bring your mates along and enjoy a two for one tournament deal as well as being able be some of the first people to use the new ruleset and discover its strengths and weaknesses, its going to be mental! (obviously with the release date being so close to the tournament we are going to move the army list deadline till wed 4th June to give people chance to modify their list as the new rules will be out)

Hope to see you there

Simon
