Hi all, I have recently taken up 40k again after not playing for 15years. (and not painting for about 20 years). Decided to collect a Space wolves army and following an ebay blunder where the Njal stormcaller I bought turned up damaged, I decided to convert him into Harald Deathwolf and use him as my HQ.

The first Images of the conversion are below, I'm quite happy the way he looks so far.Just hope my mediocre painting doesn't ruin him. As you can see I have started painting him allready. Undercoat of Codex Grey, Shadow grey for armour. He will be fitted with a second wolf claw of his left but I need to find a helmet that I like the look of to go on his belt. I may just go with the standard marine helmet though.

Let me know what you think. C&C is allways elcome.

Heya, it’s a good start You may find the paint goes on better if you undercoat the model first. Also using a wash in the recess and highlighting the “peaks” will show up the great detail of the Mini.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I know it looks like I don't undercoat but I use a grey undercoat. (may change this but find that the shadow grey looks better with a lighter undercoat)

Have you got any tips on how to use washes. Nevery really attempted using them at all.

Thanks

Danny
