So I was having some fun with the "Buhrdur's Warband" battlehost at 1k points and decided to make a more serious 1500pt list:

Wargs, Orcs, Ghosts, and not-hiding Trolls run up the middle and bait the enemy. Reveal SB Goblins, Allied Wizards, hiding Trolls, and Buhrdur with necessary movie references:

Bows shoot, wizards magic, Buhrdur murders, Orcs/Wargs/Ghosts outmaneuver and clean up, Trolls distract and/or clean up.

Sounds fun in theory and it was fun in practice at 1k.

I hear you should just stick with the 9.

Yeah, the Nine are pretty crazy. They beat the Horde(with help from 3c Morgul Knights*) so I guess The Nine are cheesier than the Horde. Ben was having a really hard time with them.

-Shadowlord+Single company pretty much nullified his Siege Lords.
-Khamul saved their butts several times. I would have been a good 4 or 5 wraiths less if not for him.
-The Tainted was very annoying for him. But evil armies always hate on the Tainted.
-I honestly got off hardly any magic with them. My focus rolls were crap.

I still think a solid Cav charge will wipe the Nine out though. So far, I have not played a game against heavy cav though. I bet Andrew's KoDA would just laugh and thank me for the waste of 500pts.

*And Kardush murdered 3 1/2 companies of the Horde with a S5 Exsiccate.
