So, I managed to score a copy of Fallout: New Vegas at Electronic Boutique for a whopping $12.50, though sadly my wife has squirreled it away under a Christmas tree. Anyway, does anyone know if any of the bugs in the Xbox 360 version of the game were patched in the updates that took place between the game's release and the present?

What bugs are you referring to?

I never had any worthwhile bugs when I was playing New Vegas on my 360. Sometimes someone would be killable through a wall, or would explode when I shot them, or some other nonsense, but nothing gamebreaking.

I'd heard from online reviews and a few of my friends that game saves tended to get corrupted and that the game tended to crash fairly frequently.

Yeah the crashes a lot. Skyrim is doing the same thing but worse. New Vegas had some issues with getting stuck in rocks. It happened to me several times and my character was stuck in a constant jumping loop. So I couldn't fast travel because I was in the air and when I saved and reloaded the game I was still stuck in the same position. I had been wandering around a lot doing stuff without going into towns or buildings so my autosave was kind of dated. I lost a few hours of game play because of this.

Skyrim is even more glitchy but the game does random autosaves. It actually stacks about 3 autosaves at different times instead of just one. In addition the game will sometimes autosave at random times like when you have been walking and you open up your start menu it will save.

Its not the game thats glitchy, its because the xbox cant handle it (Syrim)

As far as I know they fixed the major bugs, but with such a massive game, it's near impossible for it to be bugless.

I never saw myself as one of those bastard pc gamers, but you should of gotten it on pc.

I would have, but I can't stand it when you have to upgrade your PC to play games. I bought Neverwinter Nights and had to upgrade my 2 year old PC just to play it. It cost me around $300.00 at the time. This happened to me a few more times after that, so I gave up on PC gaming.

As far as the glitches are concerned, I am OK with them. It is part of gaming now. Games can come out quicker and then have the glitches fixed through patches, where as before with other systems like the SNES the games took a bit longer to make and if they had glitches, you were pretty much stuck with them.

Yes, it's fine for the most part.
