I saw that too, and also thought it would make a good Ork vehicle. It already looks quite a lot like the Battlewagon kit.

Agreed, other than aircraft, which you want in a smaller scale, 1/35 works well due to the heroic scale of GW's stuff.

True.
1/48 is a better match for normal applications.
Also I use 1/48 scale aircraft for 40K because aircraft are so huge compared to tanks.
