This really grinds my gears.
Sometimes, I just enjoy checking out cool, finished miniatures, terrainpieces, etc etc.

However, my gutfeeling says that estimated half of the threads in the Showcase at any given time I look do _not_ belong in there.
It might be too obscure, "painting and modelling showcase," or it migt be lazy people not bothering to read up or... whatever, I don't know.

But I feel like a renaming of the Subforum, probably a bigger sticky with the title "PAINTED & BASED ONLY!" or something should be put in place.

Otherwise, sadly, I see no reason to have the subforum at all - if it's used by a big percentage of people as PM Logs or the other subforums... :-/

Me myself and I are well aware of that.

However, check ten threads on the frontpage of that subforum, and you'll find 5 that don't belong there.

Thus, either people can't read,
or the purpose should be made more obvious, idiot-proof so to speak

If you're coming across threads that don't belong in the Showcase, please hit the mod alert button on them so that we can shift them to their rightful home, just as for any other inappropriately-placed thread throughout Dakka.
