Now after purchasing, painting, and playing with my 101st Airborne Company I thought I would try a fun super elite list. Its really only for fun. The Screaming Eagles are pulled out when the revenge games start to come ;D

I picked this because the Jagdpanther is my favorite LW tank. I love the history, look, the design... and the flaws.

Headquarters:
1 Jagdpanther

Combat:
3 Jagdpanthers
3 Jagdpanthers

But for the weapons. I'm not sure weather on getting 3 Sd kfz 7/1 Quad 2cm AAs or an MG42 platoon for anti-infantry. Now I've never played with AA's before and was wondering if they can do OK against infantry?

Oh, and the points are meant to be 1750 ;D

That's way too many Jadgpanthers. You'll alternate between players not wanting to play against you, to people ramming more numerous infantry and other vehicles down your throat and shooting the relatively weak side armor on them.

Also, since that's a tank list, remember that you'll have to attack most of the time, so you don't have enough expendable units to send into assault.

But, if you have to have them, then use the 7/1 quads. Just remember that if they move they go down to RoF1, but at least they're still there to help prevent assaults.

Why will people not want to play with me?

Too many heavy tanks can spoil the game pretty quickly, there will be some players that can do very little against what you have other than to sit there as you blow away his army, and in general it can be a little frustrating to play against.

Admittedly, even with 7 jagdpanthers, that's still a very small number of teams on the table, and it's only side armor 5. So, as an experienced player who has fought with and against a wide variety of armies, I wouldn't have a problem facing your list.

Just don't let people setup the table with too much open terrain, because then people really won't want to play against your list.

Agreed, too many Jagpanthers. The minimum is five right? Go with five and add more support.

As you can probably imagine Jagpanthers are pretty poor against non armoured targets. You should probably take Noak to add to your flexibility.

I like that list, the tactics would be along the paths of the greandiers protecting the flanks and the rest going down the center?

If you are using "Earth and Steel" pg126, I would recommend the Armoured Panzerwerfer Maultier 42's as Arty support because if you take the extra crew you get a few of the German only special rules like "Stormtrooping" Arty and a doubling of the battery in bombardment so 4 = 8 which is pretty devastating. Plus you can move away from ranged in counter battery fire.

Otherwise I would say that I have the exact same force "in being" if not yet painted. Jagdpanthers look amazing IMHO, I love it. I will not use it in competition as you will get steamrollered by an awful lot of Platoons shooting you in the side and rear.

But at the local level for having fun they are great little force for giving those IS-tank wielding bolshviek scum a thrashing.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

'Noak' is the warrior (Special Character) Panther commander that you can use in the Jagpanther list.
