Hi all

JP here from Crystal Games & Books, a new UK online webstore catering for the more independent taste in tabletop wargaming. We're trying to get the word out as far and wide as possible and I've been told that DD is very open and welcoming to new blood. So here we are.

We currently stock two ranges: Brushfire by On The Lamb Games (a UK exclusive!) and Relics by Tor Gaming. Come the new year we plan to include the full Mantic Games range (Kings Of War, Warpath DKH and the as yet unreleased scifi boardgame working title being Project: Pandora) as well as Infinity and Warmachine.

I've been wargaming since '82 - and even worked my way up to a regional manager for GW between '89-'99 so I have a bit of experience both in the gaming/hobby side as well as the business end of the hobby. We have plans to open a b&m shop either late 2012 or early 2013, it all depends on the webstore.

As well as selling toy soldiers, we also have a website where we post articles, news and reviews about the hobby. Recently we held a Brushfire week where we looked at every aspect under various headlines: GETTING STARTED (a look at the rules and ways in to the hobby), GETTING STUCK IN (putting models together), GETTING DECORATED (painting techniques) and GETTING BLOODIED (games tactics and battle reports). We finished with an exclusive interview with Emily from On The Lamb Games, probing into the design mechanics, influences and getting a sneak peek at what was to come. We have a similar week planned for Relics in the new year.
