hi guys  im new user but have lurked for a while, i wasnt sure where to put this  cos its only really advice im after but this seemed the most  sensible as its kinda what im after.

basically i  have to clear a room  and have to shift a hell of a lot of stuff.
i have  probably close to 200 white dwarf magazines and a few codex's from as far back  as issue184.
i considered selling them on ebay  but postage costs usually make the item not worth the effort. i wouldnt pay £2:50 plus  for a used magazine.
(actually  theres quite a few of these which have only had their  plastic taken off them cos the wife was going to  recycle them)

id happily take 20p an issue but dont know where to sell them
any of you guys  got any advice .
im in gateshead /north east if that helps.

thanks alot

b.t.w im assuming id have the same problem openly selling them  here as i would on ebay. postage costsa being excessive

Postage is indeed one of the problem, that with the fact that not a lot of people will want old Dwarfs since most of the information and rules contained therein are now outdated or, what isn't, has been reprinted elsewhere (i.e. like the Index Astartes).

The only few and rare exceptions I've seen are some of the really old Dwarfs which contain rules for Talisman (like issue 115), or maybe sometimes Space Hulk, which have sold for over 10$.

Best things to do imo would be to sell them in lots (here or on Bartertown) and ask people to cover shipping (offer one of the cheap, ground shipping option which takes a few weeks to get to destination) and maybe add a few extra dollars. Another option is to check every single Dwarfs you have individually and list summarily what articles they contain and maybe let people know what army/ies might be interested by the issue (for example, issue 267 contains information regarding Abaddon and the siege of Terra which, I believe, hasn't been reprinted - same goes for issue 306 with the very interesting Chosen of Ahriman for 1k Sons). That way, people who don't know what issues contain what, might, all of a sudden, be interested.

If you want to sell on Ebay, wait for one of their '10 cents' listing days (or something equivalent) they have a few times per year. But even then, I don't think it's worth the effort.

Something else to consider is to give them to a gaming club so other people might benefit from them.
