Alright so I am fairly new to 40k and have dedicated myself to creating a SOB Yellow turban esque army(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Turban_Rebellion).
Mini Fluff for now is that because of the constant turmoil in the 40k universe a certain upper level priest(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhang_Jue) declared, in secrecy, that the emperor wasn't the true "god king" and that he had lost the mandate of heaven .( Sound familiar to you romance of the 3 kingdom enthusiasts)? Well this priest _________________________________________
^^Enter something along the lines of getting younger and not as influenced SOB and recruiting them to his force to create the way of peace who would cleanse all beings of higher power in order to remove the corruption and darkness). They derive their power from devotion to Zhang Jue their great teacher and his powers of fire which are to be used to cleanse the world.

As you can see it is very rough fluff but I will be working on it of course.
The main colors of the army will be Yellow/Red/Orange
So far I have

1x Cannonness
4x Dominons with Melta
4x Dominons with Bolter
2x sister superior with sword/plasma pistol combo
8x Seraphim
9 x Repentia with their Mistress of Repentance

Only have done 2 repentia because I want to wait for some C&C ( need to make some of the areas on them darker, but priming black makes painting yellow a problem..

I have ordered another 10 sisters, an immolator, and a reaver model to use as my priest Zhang Jue( Will use same rules as Uriah Jacobus)

Now I throw myself out to the wolves. ALL C&C are welcome, and specifically I have questions regarding:

1) I want the sisters to be of mixed/darker complexion so any paint/paint combinations would be greatly appreciated.
2) I want to model a turban or a crown for my reaver model as he has a long beard, but no head dress(he is bald ). Any advice on doing this would be greatly appreciated.

Try getting the Darksun Base, it makes Painting Yellow on black a super ton easier!

Just a little advice from one who has painted yellow a bit!

Honestly this PDF taught me alot about painting and the recipe for yellow is super awesome...Give it a try man!

Actually I haven't used any GW paints yet, but this article might move me to buy some

This is a dominon I have been painting to establish my color scheme, and I think she is coming along quite well.( Especially compared to my good old eldar )
I am having trouble taking decent pictures but here we go.









I have repainted the yellow cloth to white, and it looks much better. I am going to test a different test scheme on a different model and put them both up for C&C!

Alright well I have brought myself to 2 paint schemes which I have pictures of below. I still am not finished with the models, but you get the general idea. As you can see I have drifted from my original colors, but I love these schemes so far! C&C Welcome ! (*What you like/don't like, recommendations, anything really)
