So I run a fairly standard Kirai crew and recently got a Shikome in hopes it could help a little with Sonnia's fireballs a little.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a general run down on the dos and don'ts of the Shikome so I can use it properly. I've never actually had an assassin before and figured it'd be nice going after the little things (well maybe not the witchling stalkers) like Nino. I'm not sure if it'd be a good idea to run it after Sonnia directly though. Also is it much better to save the points and just summon it during the game like the Gaki?

Ironically, it's not Sonnia that's the huge problem, but Samael that usually walks alongside her. It doesn't help that Sonnia herself bypasses Kirai's Spirits best defense.

That being said, Shikome have amazing speed, rather good defense, and a decent amount of wounds. They don't die easily.

The best uses I've seen for a Shikome are:
- It's a really fast model, and likely faster than everything else you have. Don't let it get too far ahead of your main crew else your opponent will just gang-bang the Shikome.
- Don't choose your opponent's Master as prey immediately if they have a lot of soulstones in reserve. Kill their most threatening models. Sonnia may be great at making things explode, but she's more of a support character in a way. Prey on Samael or whatever scary models they bring. When Shikome attacks, try to ensure it's a kill.

Thankfully they don't use Samael. It's sort of a mix, don't know the names but there's the hawk person and Nino.

How would it stand up to the witchling stalkers explosions? I haven't really gotten anything up close to them. When I do it's a mature nephilim or Lilith and it usually proceeds to rip a lot of stuff apart.

Also looking over it's abilities am I right in assuming that I should be running two at a time? Thinking maybe run the crew cheap then first turn have Kirai suicide with the lost love totem to pump out a few decent spirits and to benefit herself. I'm also not too sure on that tactic, just seen it suggested a couple times around the place.

Shikome should very easily hurt Nino.

I don't play Kirai (or any rezzers for that matter), but one thing I've seen her oftentimes do is take a ton of cheap Spirits such as Seishin. Activate those one at a time and waste their activations. Once the entirety of their important models have activated, activate your important models such as the Shikome and Kirai herself. Those cheap spirits also double as a decent sacrifice for healing Kirai (which you will be doing a lot).

Obviously watch your hand size when going against Nino. Ikiyro likes making you discard.

Witchling Stalkers' explosions only deal 1 damage to Spirits if I'm not mistaken. You can mostly ignore them. Their magical weapons are the bigger problem.
