So, i decided to buy a valkyrie, before christmas, as i thought it would be the perfect time to put in the hours neccesary to complete it. and i wasnt wrong about that!

from start to finish took me 9 days, of roughly 10 hours work per day, but then, im sure you guys and gals are all familiar with that sort of thing!

the green was just plain catachan green painted on top of a few sprays of basecoat white, in the standard RAF Arctic Sea King camo scheme

i used (in an unusual but very effective way to save money) eyeshadow for the weathering effects (on top of a mix of ordinary acrylic gold and chaos black/scorched brown for the darker bits, which incidentally is the same colours/mix i used for the engines, but they have been highlighted with normal acrylic silver)

i have added all the weaponry, including the las-cannon, las-gun, missiles and rocket pods, for no other reason than i liked the look of it, the names on the side of the cockpit are just freehand and done with blood red

The missiles were done in the same way as the rest of the valkyrie, just highlighted with goblin green just to add a little je ne sé quoi

sorry about the poor quality of the pics, i know the detail isnt easy to pick out, but until i get a better camera (thats taken on an iphone 2) these will have to do!

so, i thought i'd have a go at some terrain (this is the first go i've had at it, so, please, be gentle!) and thought a pre-made bit would be a good starter.

i'd love to hear what you guys and gals think

PS, the colours arnt true because of the flash, so they appear lighter than they actually are

Very nice, I especially like the terrain! Amazing job with the rhino and the trees.

One criticism though would be on the cadian you posted, I would suggest diluting the brightness of his white combat fatigues with a wash. Right now it's very bright and difficult to see, and a quick pass with a wash will do a lot to bring out the detail. It could be a blue wash if you want to bring out the winter theme, or black or brown if you want more typical shading as well as tying it in with the rest of the miniature's earthy (green, brown, and black) colors.

ive given it a matt white wash (tamiya i think it is) its just the flash thats making reflect as opposed to actually being that bright....

i might do some high and lowlights on the creases etc though
