Ok so since there is one for GK why not start one for necrons.
All I seen in battle reports and gameplay that Necrons are winning constantly.
I hardly see them lose, or ever lose.
They have cheap heavy support
amazing HQ choice with its own transport
Everyone in the army have a 5+ FNP basicly but better.
Fast attack chioces wraith, scarabs(need i say more?)
Cheap troops who are marine stats in shooting (not in combat)
There is a good take in every slot.
Wraith, scarabs, overlord on barge, spyder, annihilation barge, stalker walker, cryptek.
So what do you guys think.

What's exactly a "must take!" on the elite list? The Triach Stalker would be the closest imo, but even then, 1 gun? A single weapon destroyed result and he's a walker with no DCCW.
It's a perfectly balanced codex. Not even close to the hurt GK's can put out... that being said, I also don't think GK's are OP.

I LOL'ed.
I think they're one of the more balanced books to come out recently, on par with Dark Eldar in terms of effective units and potential builds. There's some pretty killer stuff in it, i.e. scarabs, crypteks, CCB, but nothing that's not easily countered.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Not to mention open topped everything (excluding monolith) really sets them up for punishment vs heavy weapons/melta.

I'll admit their weapons do a little too much damage, but they are ok....

Necrons are having "new book" syndrome. People have not adjusted their lists to deal with the things necrons can put out (for instance mandatory searchlights and even 1 s6 template). Also not everyone has figured out the target priority yet.
Once things get sorted I imagine they will be competitive, but I do not think they will reign as most OP book.

well, I personally think they are good, but not unbeatable, on par with GK and all the other high fire power output builds with good close combat.
Funny thing is Necrons are very good against elite armies but vs something like orks, its not gonna do much since no matter how power, your shots or attacks or resilence, orks will beat them in combat and probably annoy them in shooting, unpredicatable lootas will ruin a warrior squad lol.
But vs tanks, orks can't do much since all they got is S8. can pen but unlikely.

Gauss weapons broke the game. I've made up my mind, don't try to confuse me with the facts.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.
