I am thinking of starting DBA, and I was wondering what company makes good 15mm scale pikemen, skirmishers, knights, and swordsmen with broadswords.

I don't have any of these so I can't say anything about quality and mix. The Mirliton look nice, judging by their pics.

There are better and worse quality of models in 15mm though the amount of difference is less than 28mm due to the limitations of the scale.

The main thing to watch out for is size variations between different ranges.
