Now, I'm not an adventure game fan, but Schafer and DF haven't let me down so far. Definately buying a $25 card and giving it to them tomorrow.

I've also enjoyed everything Schafer and Double Fine have made. I'll wind up picking this up.

In just Eight Hours, they raised $900,000. They only asked for 400,000 (Three for the game, One for the videos). Now they are at $1,412,000.

Wow?

I know? How amazing is that? This has turned into one heck of a story. Finally a story not about piracy and gamers!

I hope double fine wrecks the world with this, they deserve every penny.

their games have always been fantastic, every last one of them are hilarious, interesting, and just great.I blame the constant shifting of producers for brutal legend.

Shoot, I hope this blows the whole of the Developer/Publisher thing WIDE open. No more "GRAPHICS GRAPHICS GRAPHICS!" and more quirk, gameplay, and everything else.. Double Fine has Cahones....

I wouldn't even own a Guitar if it wasn't for Brutal Legend.

I did too, but bad marketing made people expecting to get darksiders and got sacrifice

How dare you compare it to the awesomeness that is Sacrifice... HERESY!

( I thought brutal legend was boring, JB voicing it didn't help either )

I thought JB did an excellent job portraying Riggs.

Though I wish they would make a game about Riggnarok. He sounds like an awesome dude.

It's official, Double Fine Adventure has broken $2,000,000, and it still has twenty days to go.

This makes it the first Kickstarter project to reach this point. That'll do, Schafer, that'll do.

Seriously? That's pretty ridiculous, definitely deserves some more support. Maybe it'll break $3,000,000, what a landmark that would be.

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

It has. Wow, have to wonder how many execs in EA, Activision and other big players and rushing about trying to find companies will to do Adventure games right now.

Seriously though, good on them, I won't back it, as I am guessing this will get a full release now regardless, but I may well pick it up when it comes out.

Probably none. Until the actual game is released and the sales are in they will just sit back and watch to see if it sells well or not. For all we know the only people that would buy it already have through kickstarter. Now on the other hand if it sells really well they will certainly be playing catch up. Still, I imagine the lesson they will learn is that they can spend less developing a game as opposed to people wanting point and click adventure games.

I think most people probably donated because:

1) It's Double Fine
2) It's a game genre that hasn't been made in forever
3) They are promising us "seeing their sausage", which is something no one has done before.

Still, I hope beyond hope that this does incredibly well, if only to shake things up in the gaming industry.

I really want a stealth/patience based multiplayer game like the old Splinter Cells (To be fair, I've heard that Assassin's Creed is kind of like this, but haven't played any of those with Multiplayer).

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
