Hi Dakka,

I'm not sure if this game has come up before (looked through the last couple of pages and didn't find anything). But I got this game last night for £8 (Bargain ) and I'm loving it so far.

What are your thoughts on the game, and the setting? I've been looking into Necromunda a lot recently and I think the setting is fantastic inspiration for terrain etc. I'm also finding it alot easier to get into than Fallout 3, which I just never liked so much (I personally prefer The Elder Scrolls to Fallout; but that's another thread...)

So Dakka; feel free to share your thoughts and experiences; what were your impressions of Rage?

Loved it, got all but one achievement (100% completion).

Because of one stupid quest i missed (where you trade in those crystals, i sold them all before I found the quest, stupid game). I'm now stuck at 99%.

Anyway, loved, but it was way to easy. All you need is the shotgun with pop rockets.

The ending was terrible. I was very disappointed.

Rubbish game...
About 4 hours play time...
The multiplayer may have been good but was incredibly bored by it.
Very disappointed...
For £8 it's fine but for anything more than £10 it's a rip off...

EDIT: Oh yeah add in the weird ass story.
No idea what was going on, all i know is i went from the Wild West to the London Underground and then to a Robot fortress...

I think it looks nice.

I put about 8 hours into it, then other things came out... and I just haven't felt the desire to go back.

Decent game; guns are a bit garbage though, or at least the starting assault rifle... recoil is so bad you can't hit a damn thing.

I'm sure I'll finish it eventually.

That's why all guns can be upgraded and such, and guess, that's why it's the starting assault rifle, you get better guns along the way.

I'm sure it will get better, but it really turned me off when I was using it.

Do you get a better scoped pistol ever? That holding up the half-binocular to your eye just seems... ridiculous.

Nope. Just the different ammo types.
Really, after you get the authority machine gun with AP rounds and the pop rockets for the shotgun, that's it. You can complete the game with just those 2 weapons.

The authority MG is absurdly powerful, and it isn't like ammunition is scarce.

It was a reasonably fun game, but I'm glad that I just rented it.

My biggest dissapointment? They said we'd get DLC, no DLC is yet to be seen apart from the day 1 scrap.
