No Recce and no mobile AAA, thinking maybe I should trade Panzer IV's for PUMA's and 2 or 3 7/2's for AAA? Your thoughts? Or go high and trade off Flak 36's and Jagdpanzers, drop to 3 Werfers, drop one section of 12cm mortars and buy Panthers with AAA and PUMA'S?

I'd drop the 120mm mortars and the FlaK 36s for the pumas and some reliable AAA.

Just as an experiment have you considered taking a minimum size combat platoon and using Heavy MG teams from the heavy platoon to bring it up to size? Combat attachments count towards platoon size in V3 and the extra fire power can come in handy. There is of course a survivability and cost pay off but it may be worth investigating.

Thanks george never thought of that (still got my V2 head on). So I can Combat attach without using the 2iC Kampgruppe rule?

Yep, Combat Attach and Kampgruppe are completely separate rules.

You can combat attach the HMGs from your heavy platoon (to your panzergrenadiers) and keep the mortars as a separate platoon.

Yeah just read it on page 260. This changes my entire thinking.

3 x Panzerwerfers 42's + Crew upgrade
1 x Section of Puma's
3 x 7/2's with extra Armour

I think my Recce, Armour, Combat Platoon and AAA will assault the enemy , the 2 section and AT Guns will be defensive. Arty will provide support.
