Hello guys, is it possible to field a platoon of infantry entirely with rifle. Im just thinking about a soviet list that I may collect maybe in the future for stalingrad. Furthermore, can I make my own army out of my own interpretation, but this I mean not to base my army on the books.

Entirely with rifle? Does that mean the combat platoons are rifle platoons (which there are quite a few different armies that do that) or JUST rifles, nothing else? (which I do not think is at all possible)

Pioneer Teams are usually Rifle teams, so a Pioneer Platoon of Riflemen is possible.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

What you and your crew home brew is up to you. However, the wider audience is going to probably have problems with this.

No, I think he means Zombie Pirates with Rifles and possible Tiger and Typhoon support.

A lot of mid-war Soviet infantry are rifle teams as well, or are rifle teams with the option of being upgraded to rifle/mg teams.

From my (limited) experience, many of the Flames of War lists are pretty generic, depending on the book it's from. Using a 'generic-ish' book like Fortress Europe or the (newer) Red Bear and Grey Wolf books there seems to be a lot of lists that require a bunch of Infantry as a base, and you can conceivably just add more.

You aren't required to have tanks in your force.

On the other hand, a truly all-rifles list would be pretty boring for everyone involved, I would think. Tactical decisions become a bit simpler as there's no special-use weapons to work with. For the all-rifle player, this has the slight advantage that there's no concerns about making sure a mortar team is in the right spot, for example. For the opponent, it means never having to decide between shooting the special weapons or turning to engage the riflemen.

On the other hand, the rifles would have no anti-tank. They'd be extremely vulnerable to artillery as they'd probable have to be bunched up. Tanks would just mow them down with anti-infantry weapons. It'd turn into a game of how many the enemy can kill in the scenario time limit.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
