This list is fielded as mechanized because it has 2 x4 SU-76Ms.

HQ
T-34, 55

Combat companies
1. 4 SU-76M, 150
2. 4 SU-76M, 150
3. 3 SU-122, 130 (fabulous little things: FA5 standard tanks, 24" 2+ firepower breakthrough gun, rof 2, with volley fire special rule [reroll to hit if within 16"])

Corps support
1. 10 T-34/85 with cupolas, 9 riders, 735
2. 3 IS-2 with AA MGs, 420
3. 4 (2 sections) Heavy mortars with observer, 110 (could drop for small recce squad on foot but I think I need one arty template to harass enemy guns)

Defending against armor it would put the hurt on I think. For example, half reserves on the table (including armored reserves rule) starts with: 10 T-34/85s, 3 IS-2s, Mortars or 4 SU-76M (in ambush perhaps) + HQ. C&C welcomed

PROSECUTOR: By now, there have been 34 casualties.

Interesting. Is there no way to squeeze in some recon because it would play well with the SU122s stripping GtG so they can cause more hits on dug in troops and guns.

Can the IS-2 be swapped out for something(s) there's not much the T34-85s can't handle. You also lack for AAA of any kind or anything that could hold an objective well other than the T34-85s. Remember that SU 76ms have no defensive fire capability and top armour 0. even standard infantry can actively hunt them unless they are supported.

Thanks for the comments comrade Spiggott! You're right--if I drop the IS-2s I could add the recce, anti-air, and even a cheap katyusha unit. However, I'm beholden to my lovely IS-2s. I think they work very well with the T-34/85s hammer and anvil style. I'll do some play testing of both versions.

The SU-122s were the first models I bought for FoW. They are crafty little bastards.

We have yet to play with the new V3 rules, how do you find ROF 1 weapons in the new edition?
