Hello
So I've been searching for some Meltaguns and Missile launchers from friends, stores, forums etc but havent had much luck. Understandable since they are so popular.
I noticed that FW makes exactly those bits I need in plastic (the meltaguns you can buy from GW are metal). So, what are the rules out there on the tournaments, are FW bits allowed or does it have to be 100% GW parts, no exceptions?

As usual all Tournaments have their own rules, ask the TO.

Forgeworld is a subsidiary of GW, so Forgeworld bits are GW bits. I have never seen anyone have issue with FW bits. FW rules, is another issue altogether.

I assume you are talking about the "old school" design ML and MG. There is no problem using FW bits or models in a normal game as long as it is clear what they are. A missile launcher as a missile launcher is very clear.

I believe he is referring to the resin pre-heresy weapons, and I cannot see what the problem would be at a tournament or otherwise, it is very obvious what they are and they are GW sanctioned bits...
