Could someone give me an idea of which (and how many) vehicles you'd find in a tank-heavy Afrika Korps list, circa 1943? I'm looking at a mixture of Panzer III Ausf J or Ls (and maybe Ausf Ns) and Panzer IV Ausf F2 and Gs, plus Panzergrenadiers in SPWs. I'm more interested in the modelling angle than the gaming angle at this point, but would like an idea of what to focus on so I can work towards something that I could field in FoW. I hope that's not a big ask!

If you used the Battlefront Shopping cart and do a searce for mid war North africa... youd have a great list with pictures of the models to guide you you could then read some of the history they add to the product descriptions to aid as a guide to what you like and want to buy....

Thanks, I'll try that.

A little bit more information could be helpful, if possible. I take it you are wanting to do a Panzerkompanie list? Is there a particular division you are interested in? 15. Panzer, 21. Panzer, or 10. Panzer? 10. Panzer technically wasn't a part of the Afrika Korps, but was part of the larger Army Group Africa and fought in Tunisia, and access to some different equipment than some of the other divisions in the North African theater (more half-tracks, Tigers, Panzer III Ns, etc. If I remember right 15. Panzer had a few Tigers towards the end as well, but I don't have my books with me at the moment).

Anyway, it basically depends on what you want to do, but there is room for a lot of cool, distinctive stuff in a North Africa-based army.

A bit more information would be useful. I was thinking about 10th Panzer (I know a fair bit about them), although many years ago (before FoW and indeed WH40k) I used to have a 21st Panzer force in 1:76 scale. As you say, 10th Panzer fielded a broader range of vehicles and was generally in better shape than 15th Panzer and 21st Panzer, so it's probably the way to go.
